Original artwork by Matthew Joseph Peak for an unused AMP screenprint design for Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight, depicting Joker (Heath Ledger) standing in front of the burning pile of money during a memorable scene from the film. A stack of money and his signature calling cards fill each of the Joker’s hands while the glow of the fire highlights the sickly orange and green of his own hair. Accomplished with gouache and pastel on 32″ x 40″ artist’s board. Signed on the lower left.
